I am a conservative, as I define the term, because my Christian faith leads me to be conservative. I am listed as a Republican because my Christian faith finds it to be the closest to what I consider to be conservative. Unfortunately, I find a lot of conservatives and Republicans to not line up with my Christian faith but they are the groups that I feel best able to influence and work with to attempt to keep this country from turning its back on God. At the same time, I pray for God’s Spirit to bring a revival in this country.
I love the wildly detached from reality viewpoint that “Just because that’s what you believe, Peter, you shouldn’t seek to legislate such personal political beliefs onto others who don’t share them.” The same should be said for the 1973 travesty of law to claim that the Constitution supports the unabashed and unrestricted slaughter of the unborn. The double standards on this issue are mind boggling.
