Pete, I'm glad you're taking this "public". We as a church - the genuine, Bible-believing kind - have finally arrived at a redline - the attack on kids, the attack on womanhood have become a battleline of "no more." But we as a Bible-believing church allowed it to get this far - bent on women in men's roles in church because we didn't want to be labeled misogynistic, bent on allowing Marxism/"social justice" into church because we didn't want to be labeled racist, and bent on gay marriage because it was Caesar's thing and we didn't want to be labeled intolerant. Somehow we convinced ourselves that this is what Jesus would do. But Jesus is THE Truth. Jesus, the Way, is to stand on the Truth of God and then offer Grace from there - not stand on sinking sand and pull others into it with us. Now, we have to walk it ALL the way back, trudge ALL the way back up the slippery slope - we have to return to ALL truth. We can't just say "well, let's just go back to where consenting adults could pick what they want, it's Caesar's", call ourselves loving because we are tolerant and proceed forward from there. No, sir. We have to walk all the way up the hill to the narrow road between the slopes. We have to let them call us all the names, knowing God is Truth is Love and the only way to shine the light to their only hope is to offer them the same Grace we received from that position of Truth... All that to say, charge on - thanks for carrying a torch that lights our way all the way back to the narrow road.
