This reminds me of C. S. Lewis’ comment in *Mere Christianity*:
I am trying here to anyone saying the really fools thing that I often say about Him: “I’m ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don’t accept His claim to be God.” That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things that Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic - on a level of the man who said he was a poached egg - or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He had not left that open to us. He did not intend to.
There are many whose view of Jesus Christ is the same as Elon Musk's. Those are often the "good" people we hear of, who unfortunately have doomed their souls. I pray for these good people to learn the truth.
That is so correct! I saw the interview with Elon Musk, whom I admire and respect as an innovator and entrepreneur, but it drove me to pray for him to truly meet and know Jesus, not just know a little about Him. I wonder who he actually listens to regarding his spiritual journey. That would be telling...
And the hard part about all this is that Seth, Kyle, and Ethan all had the opportunity to make Elon well aware of his error and give him the TRUTH. This is not a bashing session on the 3+ believers that were in that room with Elon, BUT for those of us who KNOW the Truth, who KNOW fact from fiction, it is our responsibility to make sure those who really don't know the Truth, hear it and are corrected in their error. I'm very guilty of not taking every opportunity the Lord gives me...I'm convicted myself.
