God bless you & your sweet family.

Your ministry is wonderful. Enjoy this season & bind your marriage & children tightly & closely in the Word & put them first. Make whatever sacrifices you are led to, but, your kids & wife are off the table. The Lord gave them to you. If He takes any of you, that's His wisdom; until then, they are your first priority.

So wonderful to see your sweetheart make the commitment of baptism. We rejoice with the angels of the Almighty!

Congratulations Heck family! When our 4th, and last, child was baptized last year, it was a sigh of relief as well. But you are very right, the real work has just begun. And it’s my favorite and most rewarding work of all. As far as Dad of the year is concerned, I’m so guilty of being Mom of the year and forgetting to mention these moments too. But the photos are always taken and I’m present in the moment and that’s what counts, not social media. Whatever it is that made her feel special that day. That’s what counts. How exciting! You’ll catch the heathen soon enough. Congrats!

Everything about this is exactly how I feel about raising my girls. And leading middle school students at church.

It is such a wonderful blessing in life to baptize one of our children! God allowed me to baptize both of our children. Watching them grow and mature in the faith is also great! Your comment about helping "baby Christians" grow is so true. Far too often we seem to forget about them, thinking they will just grow and mature on their own. The Romans 6 scriptures are just the beginning and through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the "baby" Christian sets out on the road to growing spiritually much similar to growing physically. The role of parents and family in this process is of upmost importance!! As the "baby" Christian observes the actions and words of their parents and family, their spiritual maturity is being formed. I can think of no greater blessing to a parent and family than the opportunity to consistently be seem as "Christlike" on a daily basis, in the home as well as outside the home!! Congrats!!
