About the abhorrent texts from Jay Jones, Huckabee said, "I want to be clear at the outset here: This is disqualifying, and Jones should have dropped out…Jokes like this are a diminishment to the soul…It is – and I choose this word carefully – shameful." My question is whether there is any evidence that Huckabee publicly said that Jones' texts were disqualifying *before* the election happened. I'm not going to crawl around in the open sewer on X or other social media looking for the answer to that, but I'd like to know this one thing, because it makes all the difference. I want to know if Huckabee stood by with a closed mouth, as Abigail Spanberger did in her debate against Winsome Earle-Sears when asked point-blank if she condones this. If he did, well, shame on him.

Coming back after the election has been won and saying, "That guy in the party I support should've stepped down before the election," sounds suspiciously like self-congratulatory virtue-signaling. It's easy to stand up for righteousness when it costs you nothing, but it takes courage to stand up when you know the mob will come after you hammer and tongs for pointing out any wrongdoing done by other Democrats. If he said these things before the election, then good for him! If he didn't, then he should feel the "real, red-faced, stomach-turning shame" of his cowardice in the face of evil.
