I’m writing about it in the Memo that will come at you later this week, but I’ve really felt hammered here at the start of the year by a procession of bad news. It’s not the way anyone wants to start off a new year, even though honestly, calendars don’t really dictate seasons of life. And right now, in my area and within my circle, it’s a darker season.
